My Creative Take On Life

Photography

Those who know me well, know I love preserving moments through pictures and am almost always ready with my camera in hand to capture them.  I got my first digital slr camera when our youngest was born. I didn’t want to miss those tiny moments that go by so quickly.   I took two photography classes and asked some friends if they’d be my guinea pigs to practice on.  Something clicked and before long I was getting requests for newborn and family photo sessions.  I decided to turn my hobby into a side business, adding engagement, maternity, and senior portraits, birthday parties, anniversaries, headshots, school events and fundraisers to my portfolio.  I love capturing genuine, candid expressions, bringing out individual personalities, and developing a trusting relationship with clients, especially children with special needs who, like our son, often struggle to sit still, make eye contact, and feel intimidated by the large camera. I also enjoy taking nature and wildlife pictures and sometimes find myself just sitting still in my backyard waiting for something beautiful to catch my eye.

The camera I currently have and love, is the Canon 5D Markiii.,  and my favorite, go to, workhorse lens that I’ve have for years is the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8
